Adhering to the highest standards available is an important part of our company’s philosophy. Achieving the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) certification was, therefore, a natural step for us. We already had 10 years experience of adopting other animal welfare protocols on our farms, which made adapting to the well-rounded and internationally accepted RWS welfare protocol easy.
All of our 12 sheep farms have been RWS certified. This includes a total of 130.000 sheep producing 460.000 kg of organic or in the process of becoming organic wool. In addition, our wool scouring and combing mill in Trelew has also completed the RWS certification process successfully.
As part of the Schneider Group, Fuhrmann is fully committed to working with the Responsible Wool Standard by offering and building the supply of RWS certified wool.
