From 03-06 February 2019, the ISPO fair took place once again in snowed-in Munich, Germany. The International Sports and Outdoor fair had a total of 2.943 exhibitors showcasing their goods to around 80.000 visitors from 120 countries who attended the fair.
In November 2018, we had another student visiting us at Fuhrmann. After Nick from Australia spent time with us in February of 2018, we now had the honour of having Philippe Strehle visiting us from France.
On 3-4 December 2018, the International Wool Textile Organisation held its annual Wool Round Table event in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The round table event brought together 50 international wool industry leaders to discuss current topics.
Congratulations to the three winners of the Merino Ram Show 2018 Between 7-8 December 2018, the 81st Merino Ram Show took place in Trelew, Argentina. The Merino Ram Show continued with the new two part concept introduced last year.
On 22-24 October 2018, we took part in the Textile Exchange conference 2018 held in Milan, Italy. The event was an interesting learning experience for us and we would like to share our impressions with you here on our blog.
As of October 2018, Fuhrmann is an official supplier of Textile Exchange’s Responsible Wool Standard certified wool. The certification was obtained for all 12 Fuhrmann managed farms across Patagonia as well as the scouring and combing mill based in Trelew.
After a long winter, spring has finally arrived in Patagonia in the South of Argentina. The best thing about spring is our lambing season when our cute little lambs finally arrive.
As of 15 July 2018, the Fuhrmann shearing season has officially begun. Our shearing season lasts for three months until the middle of October. Two shearing teams travel from farm to farm starting on the farms located in the north-east of Patagonia.
